Subject: Myoclonus-Dystonia on Chromosome 7 (AAN 2000)

E-MOVE makes its final report from the 52nd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology, held in San Diego, California, 30 April-5 May 2000. Citation numbers below refer to abstracts of presentations and posters, which are published in Neurology 2000;54(suppl.3). 
 
Myoclonus-dystonia is linked to chromosome 7q in five out of six families

Linkage analysis of 52 members from 6 families with myoclonus-dystonia showed linkage in 5 families to a 10 centiMorgan region on chromosome 7q. As of yet, no candidate genes have been identified in this region.
