WE MOVE has partnered with Medtronic to sponsor special educational events in several cities across the country. At these meetings, a neurologist and neurosurgeon will explain many treatment options for Parkinson’s disease, such as medications, surgical options, and future treatments. All meetings will also include a discussion of Activa® Therapy, a totally implanted brain stimulator that was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2002 to reduce some of the symptoms associated with advanced Parkinson's disease that are not adequately controlled with medications. More than 30,000 people worldwide have used this therapy.
